en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 28th, Sri Lankan operator Dialog Axiata PLC recently announced that it has expanded its 5G network coverage to 800 sites, marking a significant acceleration in the country's 5G deployment process and further advancing the national digital transformation. This expansion is based on the commercial launch of the Dialog 5G Ultra network, which initially covered over 220 sites and served more than 1.5 million users. The latest progress extends high-speed mobile broadband access to multiple new regions including Ratnapura, Moneragala, Badulla, Vavuniya, Polonnaruwa, Hambantota, Mullaitivu, and Kegalle, enhancing nationwide connectivity.
As part of its 5G strategy, Dialog has established dedicated experience zones, allowing customers to personally experience next-generation technology applications. These experience zones are located at Dialog Headquarters, World Trade Center (WTC), and the Kandy Dialog Experience Center, offering immersive demonstrations including 5G-powered VR rides, smart city showcases, and AI portrait experiences. These initiatives aim to demonstrate the practical application potential of 5G technology and promote public understanding and adoption of high-speed networks.
