Construction Content: Construction of a new 1 million tons/year methanol-naphtha coupled cracking unit and 17 downstream chemical units, along with the corresponding supporting utility systems and auxiliary facilities within the project boundary. The 17 new units are: Methanol-Naphtha Coupled Cracking Unit, Butadiene Unit, MTBE/Butene-1 Unit (including selective hydrogenation and full hydrogenation units), Cracked Gasoline Hydrogenation Unit, Aromatic Extraction Unit, VCM Unit, PVC Unit, EVOH Unit, EVA/LDPE Unit, FDPE Unit, α-Olefins Unit, POE Unit, PP Unit, CHPPO Unit, Polyether Polyols Unit, 1,3-Propanediol Unit, PTT Unit.
This project adopts a methanol-naphtha coupled cracking + light hydrocarbon cracking technical route. It involves constructing a 1 million tons/year methanol-naphtha coupled cracking unit. The methanol-naphtha coupled cracking section processes methanol and naphtha to produce 350,000 tons of ethylene annually. The light hydrocarbon cracking section processes ethane, propane, butane produced by the coupled cracking unit and some externally purchased butane to produce 650,000 tons of ethylene annually.
It is understood that the project includes a 50,000 tons/year α-olefins unit and a 100,000 tons/year polyolefin elastomer (POE) unit.
