Eaton Launches Laser-Perforated Filtration Elements in Europe to Enhance Water Treatment Filtration Efficiency

en.Wedoany.com Reported, Eaton has expanded its filtration equipment product line by introducing new laser-perforated filtration elements to the European market. These elements address filtration challenges posed by soft, gel-like, or fibrous particles, such as those encountered in water treatment and wastewater treatment applications, enabling more precise and effective separation. Traditional filtration technologies often struggle with efficiency when handling such particles, while the new elements improve filtration performance through laser technology.

Ulrich Latz, Global Product Manager for Industrial Filtration at Eaton, stated: "Laser perforation is a significant technological advancement for operators. Through this advanced manufacturing process, we can provide filtration elements that offer significantly higher efficiency and more uniform particle retention compared to traditional wedge wire or fine-mesh sintered elements, while maintaining exceptional durability and long service life." The laser-perforated filtration elements are made entirely from 316 stainless steel material, featuring perfectly uniform circular openings that combine small pore sizes with high wall thickness—an achievement difficult to attain with previous manufacturing techniques.

These laser-perforated filtration elements offer filtration ratings from 100 to 380 microns and are compatible with Eaton's DCF series, MCF series, and MCS 1500 filters. The DCF series is known for its high retention rate and automatic self-cleaning function; the MCF series offers filtration areas ranging from 722 to 3,937 square centimeters; and the MCS 1500 is equipped with an automatic self-cleaning system. These designs enhance the applicability and reliability of the filtration elements. Other configurations are currently under development to meet broader industrial needs.
