en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK-based Cardiff Construction has recently completed the new Moya Cole Hospital project within the Cheadle Royal conservation area, with a total project value of £27 million.

The hospital construction consists of two buildings connected by a corridor, featuring a 27-bed inpatient unit equipped with photovoltaic panels, a "Be You" centre for outpatient services, a dedicated family support area, overnight accommodation for relatives, a café, and administration and training offices. The facility was originally named St Ann's Hospice and was later renamed in honour of its founder, Dr Moya Cole OBE. The project was partly funded by the "Together We Build" fundraising campaign, with the local community raising over £2 million through public donations and fundraising events.
Cardiff Construction's North West team donated £95,000 to the fundraising campaign, raised through activities including a charity golf day, a 220-mile cycle ride from Llandudno to Cardiff, and climbing Mount Snowdon with clients and supply chain partners. In 2025, the company also raised funds through Christmas Jumper Day.
Rachel McMillan, Chief Executive of Moya Cole Hospice, said: "Throughout the entire project, Cardiff Construction delivered the hospital build in a professional and collaborative manner. They helped us realise a long-planned vision, and we are grateful for their contribution, as well as the invaluable support from our architects, PRP." She also thanked Genr8 Developments LLP for their project management work.
Dave Saville, Regional Managing Director for Cardiff Construction North West, said: "We are incredibly proud to hand over the new hospice to the Moya Cole team. The construction of this hospital, which will provide critical care and support to the community, has always been our top priority, ensuring it was delivered to the highest standard."
