The Gerapid high-speed DC circuit breaker is a single-pole DC circuit breaker specifically designed for DC traction substations. The combination of high breaking capacity and current-limiting characteristics makes Gerapid the perfect solution for this application. In conventional applications, Gerapid can also be used for the protection of large-capacity DC distribution systems. The Gerapid DC circuit breaker operates at currents up to 8000 A and rated voltages up to DC 3600 V.
