en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Mancomunidad de los Canales del Taibilla has awarded an engineering services contract to Ingeniería Murciana for drafting the project to install a self-consumption photovoltaic facility at the San Pedro del Pinatar desalination plant in Murcia. The contract is valued at €538,510.79, with 13 bids received.
The project involves the San Pedro del Pinatar I and II water plants, located near the Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar Regional Park. The preliminary design envisions the construction of a 50 MWp photovoltaic plant, with an estimated annual generation of 109,281 MWh, sufficient to cover the entire daytime electricity consumption of both desalination plants and meet 74.38% of their annual electricity demand.
The plan proposes using monocrystalline silicon modules with a minimum output of 575 Wp and single-axis tracking structures. Power integration requires stepping up the voltage to 66 kV and constructing a substation near the plant. From this substation, a high-voltage connection will be established to the grid supplying the desalination plants, which originates from the San Pedro del Pinatar substation owned by I-DE. The project also includes a 66 kV connection and distribution center to link the new infrastructure with the consumption centers.
The supervision of the service will be undertaken by a responsible engineer, whose duties include coordinating contract execution, verifying means and organization, issuing technical instructions, proposing modifications, certifying work, preparing settlements, and handling contingencies.
The project has not received EU funding.
