en.Wedoany.com Reported - Short-sea ro-ro specialist CLdN has completed the relocation of its shipping business from Luxembourg to the UK. The company also plans to expand services to and from Ireland.

CLdN owns and operates terminals in London, Killingholme, and Liverpool. Currently, approximately three-quarters of its voyages start or end at UK ports. CLdN CEO Florian Maes stated that for over 60 years, the company has provided direct freight connections between mainland Europe and the UK, and these connections are being further strengthened, particularly through the recently announced acquisition of Samskip's UK and Irish operations.

CLdN currently offers 24 direct weekly sailings between the Irish ports of Dublin and Cork and mainland Europe (Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, and Santander). Upon regulatory approval and completion of the Samskip acquisition, CLdN will also provide dedicated connections to the ports of Waterford and Belfast, along with additional sailings to Dublin and Cork. This service aligns with CLdN's strategy of offering complementary ro-ro services for mixed cargo and lift-on/lift-off services specifically for containers, utilizing its own fleet of in-house designed vessels. The company will begin taking delivery of its new fleet of 1,100 TEU container vessels in early 2027.
