Delo Group Completes First Independent China-Russia Container Shipping Mission via the Arctic Route

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ruscon, a multimodal transport operator under Delo Group, has successfully organized the first independent container voyage from China to Russia via the Northern Sea Route (NSR). The container ship "Hongfu," which carried out this voyage, has safely arrived at Delo Group's port terminal in St. Petersburg.

This shipment is part of Ruscon's regular container liner service connecting St. Petersburg with major Chinese ports. The route previously bypassed the Suez Canal; now Ruscon has begun offering seasonal transport services via the Northern Sea Route, with transit time expected to be significantly reduced from 45 days via the Suez Canal route to 25 days.

The container ship "Hongfu," responsible for operating this route, has a capacity of approximately 3,700 TEU. The route directly calls at Nansha Port, Taicang Port, and Rizhao Port, while also providing feeder services for cargo from other regions. Northern Sea Route transport operates mainly during the summer-autumn navigation season; once the navigation season ends, vessels will resume sailing via the Suez Canal.

During the provision of this service, Ruscon can offer customers full end-to-end delivery services, including customs clearance. The service accepts not only general containers but also dangerous goods, out-of-gauge cargo, reefer containers, and cargo transported in flat racks.
