Construction of the grain elevator will begin this year and is scheduled for completion in 2028. The oil extraction plant project is planned for implementation between 2029 and 2033, with a designed daily processing capacity of 1,200 tons of sunflower seeds and rapeseed, equivalent to approximately 411,000 tons of oilseeds per year. The new plant is expected to create about 400 jobs.

Alexei Teksler stated that the project is a key strategic initiative for the agro-industrial complex of the Chelyabinsk Region, which will boost the region's oilseed processing capacity and significantly expand its export potential. Teksler noted that this move is steadily advancing the goal of making the Southern Urals one of Russia's centers of the oil and fat industry.

Over the past 15 years, the area under oilseed cultivation in the region has increased more than 17-fold, from 21,000 hectares in 2010 to 362,100 hectares in 2025. According to data from the Chelyabinsk Region Ministry of Agriculture, the area under spring oilseed crops this season will reach 426,000 hectares, with expected oilseed harvest volumes exceeding 500,000 tons.

Sigma Company is one of the leading oilseed processors in the Ural region, accounting for approximately 6% of Russia's bottled vegetable oil market, with products exported to countries including China.
