Japan's SoftBank's Masayoshi Son: AI Designs AI, ASI May Arrive Within 2 Years

He believes AI is approaching Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), shortening the timeline from his previous prediction of 10 years to just 2 years.

In the interview, Son revealed that after discussions with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and several engineers, he learned that AI models are already capable of being used to design future models. He believes this pattern will expand to other mainstream models, making it difficult for human engineers to independently design more powerful models.
