The single pipe rack module hoisted weighs 515 tons, with a maximum length of 43 meters, setting a new record for similar construction tonnage in China and successfully filling the technical gap in offshore large-tonnage pipe rack construction.

The petrochemical pipe rack serves as the "aerial artery" of the petrochemical park, responsible for transporting raw materials, products, and utility engineering materials, directly impacting the park's operational efficiency and safety.

Unlike the open and stable working environment of onshore construction, this offshore high-altitude hoisting was suspended over the sea at a high altitude, with soft tidal flat geology below and continuous disturbance from sea breezes. Hundreds of tons of heavy components were prone to swaying and displacement in the air, imposing extremely high demands on the precision of transportation and hoisting. Additionally, the length, height, and weight of the pipe rack exceeded conventional construction technical requirements. The project innovatively adopted an integrated construction model of "transportation + hoisting + sliding."

Sinopec Lifting Company Ningbo Branch Head, Kong Zhengang: We deployed our own 1600-ton crawler crane, paired with a self-developed and designed 600-ton specialized frame-type balance beam to carry out the operation, successfully achieving China's first large-span offshore high-altitude pipe rack hoisting. This effectively addressed the industry pain point of module deformation and insufficient stability during hoisting under large spans and heavy loads.

It is understood that this hoisting operation of the cross-sea pipe rack is a key supporting project for the Zhoushan Jintang New Materials Project. The Zhoushan Jintang New Materials Project plans to construct 27 main production units and 16 public utility supporting projects. Upon full operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 91.7 billion yuan.
