en.Wedoany.com Reported - Technology company Tivita has launched a new platform called TABA, based on artificial intelligence (AI), aimed at streamlining the care process for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). By automating administrative tasks such as medical record updates, appointment scheduling, and financial management, the platform helps therapists dedicate more time to clinical care.

The name TABA is derived from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), one of the most scientifically supported methods in autism treatment. The platform is designed to make care more patient-centered, with detailed records of clinical progress and easy access for family members to follow up.
Claudio Franco, CEO of Tivita, stated that the use of AI has already had a positive impact on professional care, enhancing communication transparency. He reported that the time therapists spend on clinical administrative tasks has been reduced from hours to minutes, and clinics now have clearer visibility into each patient's progress. The product was validated at the Congresso de Jornada do Autismo (Autism Journey Conference) in Rio de Janeiro. He also noted that this technology does not replace therapists but rather better connects them with patients, a model that can be developed through technology in other areas of medicine and therapy.
Physical therapist and neuropediatric specialist Grazieli Nicolini is the technical director of Neurokids Saúde e Reabilitação (Neurokids Health and Rehabilitation Clinic), which uses TABA. She emphasized that Applied Behavior Analysis is the most effective scientific method in the autism field, with principles such as positive reinforcement, functional analysis, data collection, and skill generalization applicable to everyone, while treatment plans remain individualized.
She pointed out that the data-driven nature of ABA therapy requires more effective record-keeping, and technology can simplify this process. Long-term reliance on paper or spreadsheet records can lead to information loss and biased decision-making. TABA adds value in information organization, progress tracking, and pattern recognition, making good practices more accessible.
The development of the AI platform stemmed from addressing issues of incomplete medical records, inconsistent progress reports, and fragmented data in multidisciplinary clinics. Claudio Franco explained that ABA therapists face tool fragmentation, using spreadsheets, different applications, and paper files to record data. TABA offers six different recording methods and does not require an internet connection; the platform uses AI to automatically generate or assist in creating Individualized Education Plans (Plano Educacional Individualizado) and clinical summaries, saving therapists hours of work each week.
