en.Wedoany.com Reported - OzAurum Resources has intersected a new batch of shallow, high-grade gold mineralization at its Mulgabbie North project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, with early site works already underway to support an open-pit mining and heap leach development strategy.

The latest 84 drill holes are part of an 18,000-meter feasibility-level infill drilling program designed to provide data for mine planning, pit design, and scheduling. Highlight intercepts include 8 meters at 4.89 grams per tonne gold from 25 meters, including a high-grade zone of 1 meter at 21.24 grams per tonne gold, as well as multiple shallow intercepts between 24 and 26 meters.

OzAurum Resources (ASX: OZM) stated that these results further strengthen the case for shallow open-pit mining and heap leach processing at the Mulgabbie North project. CEO and Managing Director Andrew Pumphrey noted that the latest drilling results continue to demonstrate the high-grade nature of the paleochannel gold mineralization.

Pumphrey said drilling is progressing in parallel with early site activities, with earthworks already underway in the areas of the plant pad and heap leach pad. The project has moved beyond the exploration and study phase, with actual site work now supporting the proposed heap leach operation. Drilling is focused within the existing Mulgabbie North resource area, where shallow mineralization is being converted into higher-confidence recoverable reserves.

OzAurum noted that the nearby Kanowna paleochannel operation serves as a useful analogue for Mulgabbie North. Kanowna produced approximately 70,000 ounces of gold through open-pit mining and heap leaching, with recovery rates exceeding 85%, providing a practical precedent for OzAurum's shallow paleochannel gold mining and heap leach processing in the region.

OzAurum is currently drilling within the existing resource envelope, but the broader paleochannel still holds potential for further discoveries. Mineralization extends over a 4-kilometer strike length, providing OzAurum with growth potential beyond the current Mulgabbie North resource of 11.6 million tonnes at 0.70 grams per tonne gold, containing 260,000 ounces of gold. The 18,000-meter feasibility drilling aims to convert shallow high-grade gold into higher-confidence recoverable reserves, with significant areas still remaining to be tested.
