Dutch Port Expands Logistics Offering

Wedoany.com Report-Mar 6, Buss Terminal Eemshaven has expanded its terminal area and heavy-duty quay side access, as it seeks to become a key player in offshore wind logistics in the European North Sea.

The expansion incorporates the addition of about 15-hectares of heavy-duty storage area and 200 metre quay-side connecting to the Beatrixhaven.

This complements the existing footprint of the terminal and further strengthening the terminal’s role as a key logistics hub for handling offshore wind and other heavy-duty components, according to the Terminal's management.

The new 15-hectare heavy-duty area is capable of loads up to 30 tonnes/metre² enhances the terminal’s capacity and flexibility to serve the offshore wind sector as well as other industries in need of flexible logistics and storage solutions, it added.

The new area includes shared priority access to the Beatrixhaven heavy-duty quay capable of handling up to 30 tonnes/metre² and it directly connects to the terminal’s existing areas and quay in the Julianahaven.
