Smart Integrated Equipment Trilogy ②: ICSD, a "Mobile Seawater Desalination Plant" Delivering a "Five Extremes" Experience!
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Against the backdrop of the national "Dual Carbon" strategy and the policy of the Implementation Plan for High-Quality Development of Water-Saving Equipment (2025–2030), the water treatment industry is undergoing a historic leap from "engineering construction" to "equipment integration." Guided by its "12256" strategy, OriginWater is comprehensively driving its business toward a transformation and upgrade characterized by "high novelty, high intelligence, and high green content." In recent years, as new projects in the industry have slowed and local investment has become more cautious, OriginWater has successively launched three smart integrated equipment products. This strategic move offers more imaginative space for the sustainable development of the water sector......
Traditional seawater desalination facilities have long faced three major pain points: high energy consumption, large footprint, and inconvenient deployment. OriginWater has launched its independently developed Intelligent Compact Seawater Desalination System (ICSD), which, with its innovative design featuring modularity, mobility, and plug-and-play capability, delivers to customers a "Five Extremes" experience: extreme speed of delivery, extreme space savings, extreme energy efficiency, minimalist operation and maintenance, and extremely stable water quality—condensing complex seawater desalination processes into a containerized "mobile water plant." Recently, this product has gone abroad and entered the Southeast Asian market, where it has been successfully applied in local seawater desalination projects.

Five Extremes Experience: Redefining Seawater Desalination Equipment Standards
Extreme Speed of Delivery — Relying on OriginWater's smart equipment manufacturing base and flexible production lines, standardized prefabrication and integrated commissioning are completed at the factory, so the system can be put into use on site once water and power are connected.
Extreme Space Savings — The integrated design highly consolidates all systems into a standard container/skid, eliminating traditional civil construction and greatly reducing floor space.
Extreme Energy Efficiency — Compared with traditional dual-membrane processes, the coordinated use of energy recovery and intelligent regulation reduces the operating cost per ton of produced water by more than 30%.
Minimalist Operation and Maintenance — Coordinated intelligent control systems enable unattended operation, reducing O&M workload to a minimum.
Extremely Stable Water Quality — Produced water is superior to the Standards for Drinking Water Quality GB 5749-2022.
Technical Core: Based on the Dual-Membrane Process, Supported by Three Major Highlights
The Intelligent Compact Seawater Desalination System adopts OriginWater's independently developed "ultrafiltration + reverse osmosis" dual-membrane seawater desalination process. The ultrafiltration unit provides efficient pretreatment, ensuring long-term stable operation of the reverse osmosis membrane; the reverse osmosis unit performs core desalination and is suitable for various scenarios such as remote islands and reefs and inland brackish water areas.
On this basis, the system integrates three core technical highlights:
Modular Integration: Plug-and-play, saving time and space. Using standard maritime shipping containers as equipment carriers, all modules are prefabricated and commissioned at the factory. The entire unit is lifted and transported as a whole, and can be put into operation on site after foundation leveling and water and power connections.
Energy Recovery: Reuse of high-pressure concentrate for systematic energy savings. High-pressure pumps are the main source of energy consumption in seawater desalination. The system integrates high-efficiency energy recovery devices deeply coupled with the reverse osmosis process, fully recovering the pressure energy of high-pressure brine and reducing the water production cost per ton through system matching optimization.
Smart O&M: Keeping equipment continuously economical in operation. Equipped with OriginWater's independently developed intelligent control system, it automatically adjusts operating parameters according to feed water quality to reduce ineffective energy consumption; through membrane fouling prediction and lifespan prediction, it optimizes O&M, extends membrane service life, and lowers full-lifecycle costs.
Full-Cycle Services: A Complete Closed Loop from Design to O&M
OriginWater provides full-cycle services covering design, production, global transportation, installation, commissioning, O&M, and after-sales service. Relying on the full-chain capabilities of "R&D—smart manufacturing—integration—testing" at its smart equipment manufacturing base, as well as a global delivery network, it ensures that every ICSD system is worry-free from factory delivery to stable water production.
At present, this product has been successfully delivered and used in Southeast Asia. The product uses seawater around the islands as its water source, and the produced water quality fully meets local standard requirements. Having withstood the test of a high-salinity, high-humidity environment and time, it operates stably.

This case confirms the reliability of the Intelligent Compact Seawater Desalination System in extreme marine environments and also provides a replicable equipment-based solution for scenarios such as island water supply, offshore operations, and coastal industrial parks.
Dual-Engine Drive: Two Integration Forms Covering All Scenarios
According to the form of integration carrier, the Intelligent Compact Seawater Desalination System is divided into two major product application types:
Containerized type: The equipment is integrated into a standard container, lifted and transported as a whole, and can be put into operation on site after foundation leveling and external water and power installation. It features a high degree of standardization and convenient relocation, making it suitable for areas with level ground and lifting conditions, such as coastal ports, port-side parks, island docks, emergency sites, and construction camps.
Skid-mounted type: The equipment is integrated on a skid, with customizable dimensions and modules that can be separated for transport and installation. It offers flexible layout and easy passage through narrow channels. It is suitable for environments with limited space where standard containers cannot enter, such as ships, offshore platforms, underground spaces, and small rocky islands.
At present, OriginWater can provide a product series ranging from 50 to 1,000 tons/day, covering everything from small-scale emergency water use to large-scale centralized water supply; it also supports customized design according to project requirements, flexibly adapting to special sites and water production requirements.
OriginWater's Intelligent Compact Seawater Desalination System turns "seeking water from the sea" into a deployable, operable, and replicable equipment-based reality, and is a vivid footnote to the Chinese seawater desalination industry's transition from the "engineering era" to the "equipment era."
