CEVA Logistics Supports AirTrunk’s Asia-Pacific Data Center Expansion

The French logistics provider, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, announced it is providing integrated logistics services for AirTrunk’s latest hyperscale data center projects in Sydney and Johor Bahru. These facilities are strategically located to support the region’s increasing demand for cloud services, AI applications, and other data-intensive operations.

Founded in 2015, AirTrunk specializes in hyperscale data centers, serving cloud, AI, and enterprise customers across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Its Sydney campus is one of the largest hyperscale data center projects in Australia, while the Johor Bahru campus aims to meet the rapidly growing digital infrastructure needs of Southeast Asia. CEVA Logistics provides AirTrunk with services spanning warehousing, domestic transportation, customs clearance, and project management across both countries.

CEVA Logistics stated that it has completed the initial six-month phase of the Sydney project and is currently supporting the development of the Johor Bahru project. Its responsibilities include managing the complex logistics associated with hyperscale facility construction, such as the storage and transportation of 45-ton generator sets, oversized air cooling towers, and critical cooling and climate control equipment.

Leveraging its regional logistics network and global footprint, CEVA Logistics coordinates contract logistics, air freight, ocean freight, and road transport services to facilitate the cross-border transportation, storage, and delivery required for the projects.

Guy Meredith, Vice President of Contract Logistics for Asia-Pacific at CEVA Logistics, stated: “As AI technology continues to accelerate, we are seeing significant growth in supply chain demand driven by the rapid expansion of data centers across Asia-Pacific and globally. With our strong network in the Asia-Pacific region and support from 1,700 sites worldwide, we are committed to providing reliable, end-to-end logistics solutions for customers in technology, industrial projects, consumer sectors, and more.” Daniel Checchin, Vice President of Supply Chain and Procurement at AirTrunk, emphasized the importance of supply chain reliability: “Delivering hyperscale data centers at this pace requires absolute confidence in our supply chain—from international transportation of major equipment to secure storage, phased delivery, and on-site handover. CEVA’s end-to-end logistics capabilities, local execution, and proactive coordination have supported our hyperscale data center in Western Sydney, helping us transport critical components safely, efficiently, and more predictably.”

Headquartered in Marseille, France, CEVA Logistics operates in 170 countries worldwide, with approximately 110,000 employees and around 1,700 facilities.
