Wedoany.com Report-Mar 28, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk dismissed speculation that Europe might support reviving the Nord Stream gas pipeline, calling it inconsistent with the EU’s strategy of energy independence from Russia. Speaking in Paris at a summit on aid for Ukraine, Tusk emphasized that Europe is focused on strengthening sanctions, not renewing economic ties with Moscow.

He also addressed U.S.-Russia ceasefire talks, arguing that Russian President Vladimir Putin has no real interest in peace. Regarding Poland’s role in Ukraine, he reaffirmed that there are no plans for a Polish military presence, and support will continue as before.

Tusk warned against misinformation about Nord Stream’s potential restart, suggesting it may be Russian propaganda. He reiterated that European leaders remain committed to reducing dependence on Russian energy and maintaining pressure through sanctions, which he believes are significantly weakening Russia’s economy.
