en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 23, India's Welspun Corp announced that its U.S. subsidiary Welspun Tubular LLC has secured a coated steel pipe supply order worth approximately 55 billion rupees—ten times the figure of 5.5 billion rupees—that is, 55 billion rupees (approximately US$580 million), for a natural gas pipeline project in the Permian Basin of the United States. The order was awarded by a major U.S. midstream energy company, and the pipeline will supply natural gas to a large data center campus. The steel pipes are scheduled to be produced and delivered at Welspun's U.S. facility during the 2028–2029 fiscal year.

The natural gas pipeline is located in the Permian Basin of the United States, and its end supply target is a data center campus operated by a major global cloud computing and digital infrastructure company. Welspun is responsible for manufacturing and supplying the coated steel pipes required for the pipeline project, and the order will be executed by its U.S.-based production facilities. Calculated according to the Indian corporate fiscal year, the contract execution period runs from April 2028 to March 2029.

With this order, Welspun's total global order backlog has reached approximately US$5.25 billion, equivalent to about 500 billion Indian rupees. The order was directly undertaken by the company's U.S. subsidiary and will be incorporated into the subsequent production schedule of its U.S. oil and gas pipeline equipment manufacturing business.
