en.Wedoany.com Reported - Lineage is collaborating with TGW Logistics to carry out an automation retrofit of its cold storage warehouse in Texas.

Headquartered in Michigan, USA, Lineage operates over 500 temperature-controlled facilities globally, with operations spanning the UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands, serving customers in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

This highly automated distribution center is expected to begin operations by the end of 2027, supporting a major US food producer and strengthening Lineage's cold chain network in North America.

Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth logistics hub, the facility will facilitate efficient nationwide distribution of refrigerated and frozen products.

As part of the Texas project, TGW Logistics has provided a comprehensive automation solution, including a shuttle warehouse, energy-efficient conveyor technology for pallets and cartons, as well as automated palletizing and depalletizing stations.

The system is designed to meet high throughput and reliable order fulfillment capabilities, enabling fast and efficient handling of refrigerated and frozen goods.

Michael Pammer, CEO of TGW Logistics' Customer Unit Distribution Business, stated: "Close collaboration and shared values have connected Lineage and TGW Logistics for many years. Together, we continue to evolve with the goal of providing better service to customers and consumers. Therefore, we are particularly pleased to have earned the trust to implement such a major project in Texas. Temperature-controlled logistics operations face numerous challenges, including labor shortages and increasing efficiency demands. As a result, automation solutions that combine performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability play a key role in future-oriented warehouse operations."
