en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hapag-Lloyd has announced the launch of a new service, the "Caribbean-US East Coast Service (SCS)," scheduled to commence operations on August 6, aimed at enhancing connectivity between the Caribbean region and the US East Coast.

The new service will provide direct connections between Cartagena, Colombia; Panama Manzanillo; and Philadelphia, Norfolk, and Savannah in the US, expanding logistics options for importers and exporters operating in the region.

Hapag-Lloyd stated that by calling at the hub port of Cartagena, the new service will facilitate the flow of cargo from both the West and East Coasts of South America to the US East Coast, while also supporting cargo transportation from other markets connected through its global network.

Key advantages of the service include refrigerated cargo transport capacity, enabled by additional reefer container connections, and a weekly service departing from Savannah. The weekly service will allow container flows to be routed via Cartagena to Latin American destinations, including the Caribbean region and the East and West Coasts of South America.

The port rotation for the new "SCS" service is: Cartagena (Colombia) – Manzanillo (Panama) – Philadelphia (USA) – Norfolk (USA) – Savannah (USA) – Cartagena (Colombia).
