en.Wedoany.com Reported - Global armor technology manufacturer and vehicle integrator NP Aerospace (Coventry, UK) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Iten Defense (Ashtabula, Ohio), a US-based provider of specialized advanced defense protection solutions, from Edgewater Capital Partners and other minority shareholders. This acquisition aims to integrate both companies' survivability and protection technology portfolios, enhancing their ability to deliver mission-critical armor solutions to global defense and security customers.

NP Aerospace's operations involve manufacturing ballistic helmets, ballistic plate inserts, platform armor, and vehicle armor using advanced composite materials, including ceramics and composites. Iten Defense's core products are ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber-reinforced composites, used in personal protective equipment, fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, tactical vehicles, and naval vessels.

James Kempston, CEO of NP Aerospace, stated that this acquisition is a significant strategic step in the company's ongoing investment in advanced protection technologies and expansion of global service capabilities. He believes that Iten Defense's technical expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and complementary strengths will bring value to the partnership.

Prior to the completion of the transaction, both companies will continue to operate as independent entities. The completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including certain government and regulatory approvals. Once these conditions are met, the transaction will be executed immediately.
