en.Wedoany.com Reported - ENGIE Energía Perú has successfully won the development rights for four transmission projects promoted by ProInversión under a public-private partnership model, with a total investment of $230.8 million. These projects will strengthen Peru's national power infrastructure, enhance system reliability, and facilitate greater integration of renewable energy. With this award, ENGIE Energía Perú will have nearly 600 km of transmission lines under construction, further consolidating its position in the transmission business.

Myriam Akhoun, CEO and Country Manager of ENGIE Energía Perú, stated that this award reaffirms the company's long-term commitment to Peru and to building a more reliable, resilient power system prepared for the country's future growth. These projects will benefit 1.6 million people in the regions of Piura, Lambayeque, Junín, and Ayacucho. The overall project plan includes constructing over 400 km of transmission lines, building six new substations, and expanding ten existing substations, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2031.
The specific projects awarded include: the 500 kV Miguel Grau – Pariñas line and associated Pariñas 500/220 kV substation, expansions, and auxiliary substations; the 220 kV Felam – Tierras Nuevas – Salitral line; the new Palián 220/60 kV substation and associated lines; and the 220 kV Muyurina – Mollepata line. Jimmy Aoki, General Manager of Network Business in Peru, stated that this award strengthens the company's infrastructure platform and consolidates its ability to sustain growth in this business segment, with the goal of maintaining active growth in the transmission sector by participating in projects strategically important for the development of the national power system.
