en.Wedoany.com Reported - Cognizant has announced a strategic partnership with Domyn, a European leader in sovereign AI infrastructure for regulated industries, to jointly deliver sovereign AI capabilities to enterprises across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The collaboration aims to help organizations operating in highly regulated sectors deploy high-performance AI solutions, ensuring data remains within customer-controlled environments and promoting compliance with European regulatory frameworks.
Domyn's end-to-end AI system, encompassing computing power, proprietary models, governance, and agents, is specifically designed to address this challenge. Cognizant, as a trusted global AI developer and systems integrator with deep enterprise relationships in EMEA, is the ideal partner to scale these capabilities. Under the agreement, Domyn will provide the AI infrastructure layer, including large language models (LLMs) deployable within customer environments (on-premises or private cloud configurations); Cognizant will handle the application execution, integration, and domain layers, including training and tuning Domyn's models into smaller, domain-specific small language models (SLMs), developing custom agents and applications for specific industry use cases, and managing data pipeline construction, data cleansing, and model alignment required for enterprise deployment. The two companies will jointly target enterprises in the UK and Ireland, the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), the Nordics, Southern Europe, and the Middle East.
This partnership enables enterprises to access fully integrated sovereign AI offerings, gaining access to state-of-the-art AI models and infrastructure without relinquishing control over their data, while benefiting from Cognizant's proven capabilities in managing complex enterprise transformations, establishing compliance frameworks incorporating human-in-the-loop, and delivering quantifiable business outcomes at scale. According to Gartner® analysis, geopolitics is a primary driver of demand for truly sovereign AI solutions, predicting that by 2029, geopolitics will drive 50% of cloud AI workloads to shift to AI deployment models on sovereign clouds, up from just 5% in 2025.
Manoj Mehta, President of Cognizant EMEA, stated that regulated organizations across Europe need AI capable of delivering transformative outcomes without sacrificing data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, or security, and that the partnership with Domyn combines world-class AI infrastructure with Cognizant's expertise to translate into concrete, industry-specific solutions, empowering enterprises with the confidence to rapidly advance AI on their own terms. Uljan Sharka, CEO of Domyn, noted that with Cognizant's extensive industry partner network in EMEA, Domyn can scale its vision to help the most demanding institutions boldly embrace AI while maintaining full control over the intelligence they rely on. This partnership is part of Cognizant's three-pillar AI building strategy, involving over 60 AI-related patents, more than 1,500 industry-specific agents, and a dedicated AI lab spanning San Francisco and Bangalore. The initial focus of the collaboration will be on customers in the EMEA region.
