en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 18, Alibaba Cloud officially launched its third data center in South Korea, simultaneously introducing six agentic AI services. The new facility will provide enterprise-grade services including computing, storage, networking, security, databases, containers, and cloud-native solutions, catering to local enterprises' needs for cloud computing, AI applications, and critical business operations.

With the third data center in operation, Alibaba Cloud has established an infrastructure system in South Korea where three data centers operate collaboratively. In the event of a failure at one facility, customer workloads can be absorbed and recovered by the other two. The availability under the Alibaba Cloud Korea region Service Level Agreement has been improved from 99.95% to 99.99%, enhancing business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.

The newly launched agentic AI services include AgentRun, STAROps, ACS Agent Sandbox, Agent Security Center, AI Security Guardrails 2.0, and Agentic SOC, covering the entire lifecycle of agent development, testing, deployment, operations and maintenance, and security management. Among them, AgentRun provides full lifecycle management for agent applications, while STAROps focuses on intelligent operations for cloud resources and application systems.

Alibaba Cloud entered the South Korean market in 2016, activated its first local data center in March 2022, and launched its second data center at the end of June 2025. The third data center comes approximately one year after the previous facility went live, with all three facilities located in Seoul.

Alibaba Cloud is also collaborating with companies such as MegazoneSoft and Team Sparta in South Korea to provide customized consulting and industry solutions for local customers. The company stated that customer data stored in the Korea region will not be transferred overseas without customer consent.
