Uzbekistan is accelerating its efforts to become a regional technology hub, and the talks covered multiple areas including AI development, digital infrastructure construction, commercialization of scientific research results, information technology investment, and talent cultivation.

The two sides assessed Uzbekistan's potential to become a leading center for AI and advanced digital technologies in Central Asia and the CIS region, and discussed the possibility of involving young Uzbek experts in international technology projects. According to a statement from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Digital Technologies, the parties focused on expanding AI education and training, creating high-value jobs, and enhancing Uzbekistan's role in the regional digital economy. Special attention was given to deploying AI solutions in healthcare, education, and public administration, while strengthening cooperation with global technology companies operating in Uzbekistan.
Regarding the commercialization of scientific research results, the two sides explored new pathways to bring innovative technologies developed by Uzbek researchers to international markets. They also planned to build a sustainable innovation ecosystem connecting science, education, and industry by establishing joint ventures, supporting high-potential startups, and developing export-oriented AI products.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to promote practical cooperation through joint projects and expand the long-term strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and MBK Holding. This comes as Uzbekistan accelerates efforts to attract foreign investment into the technology sector to solidify its position as a regional digital and AI hub.
