The first ZS890Q quenched plate was successfully trial-produced and rolled off the line, with a flat shape and performance meeting requirements, marking that the equipment renovation project has entered the operational verification phase, enhancing the heat treatment capability for high-end plates.
This renovation departed from the traditional approach of repairing existing equipment, implementing a full-process systematic upgrade centered on high-end steel production and extreme specification processing needs, to address common industry challenges such as thin plate quenching deformation and unstable shape control. The project added an independent stand roll-pressing section, equipped with a hydraulic servo control system for precise pressing, effectively suppressing plate deformation during quenching. Meanwhile, the slit nozzle and high-density nozzle structures were optimized, and the flow control system was upgraded, ensuring that the flatness of quenched plates across all specifications from 4 mm to 100 mm is controlled within 5 mm to 6 mm per 2 meters, solving the issue of thin plate quenching warping and improving the yield rate and quality stability of high-end plates.
In terms of intelligence, the new system established a full-process material tracking system and an accurate steel plate temperature calculation model, achieving automated operations throughout the entire process of charging, conveying, and quenching. The electrical system adopts Siemens PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and bus communication technology, and is equipped with a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) data collection and analysis platform for full-process collection and traceability of production data, providing data support for process optimization and precise parameter control.
The successful trial of the first plate verified the reliability of the renovation plan and demonstrated the technical accumulation and manufacturing capability of Anyang Base in the field of high-end plate heat treatment. After the project is put into production, it will enhance the production support capability for high-strength steel, wear-resistant steel, special alloy steel, and other products, helping the company expand into high-end markets and promote the high-quality development of the steel industry.
