en.Wedoany.com Reported - National Grid Ventures has invested $1.75 billion to acquire a 35% equity stake in Joulent to advance Project Kilby. The project plans to build a 2.67 GW natural gas power generation facility, in collaboration with Chevron, aimed at powering Microsoft's planned 2 GW data center in West Texas. Digital Realty will acquire three data center interests in Northern Virginia from Blackstone for a total price of $3.5 billion. These assets include two facilities in Manassas and one property at the Digital Dulles campus in Sterling, all currently fully leased to hyperscale customers. The transaction consideration includes $1.2 billion in cash and $2.3 billion in Digital Realty stock, with closing expected within this week. The Kuok Group plans to invest €5.3 billion (approximately $6 billion) to build a 300 MW hyperscale data center campus in the southern suburbs of Milan. The construction phase is expected to create approximately 8,000 jobs, along with 200 long-term employment opportunities. UK-based renewable energy developer Clearstone has proposed building a data center campus named Ebbsfleet AI on a 145-acre site near Dartford, Kent. The project, with a total gross floor area of 180,000 square meters (approximately 1.9 million square feet) across four buildings, has been designated by the UK government as a development of national significance. In Canada, Spur Innovation has proposed a three-phase data center construction on a 25-acre site in Fergus, Ontario. Phase one plans to deploy 25 to 35 MW of capacity within the first three years, phase two expands to 50 to 75 MW, and the long-term plan includes expansion on adjacent parcels to ultimately reach a total capacity of 150 to 300 MW.
