en.Wedoany.com Reported - MTS (Mobile TeleSystems) has completed a communication network expansion in the Bogorodsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, deploying new base stations to bring high-speed internet and stable VoLTE voice services for the first time to seven villages: Arapovo, Ushakovo, Chentsovo, Rakshi, Maloye Bedrino, Bolshoye Bedrino, and Vorontsovo. Vorontsovo is one of the iconic stops along the tourist route "Oka Trail," popular among visitors.

The newly built communication towers provide 4G high-speed mobile internet, meeting residents' needs for remote work, online learning, access to public services, and use of instant messaging tools. Stable voice calls supported by VoLTE technology ensure clear audio quality during calls and allow users to simultaneously make calls and use mobile internet; users only need to check their smartphone settings to enable this feature.

The coverage area of the MTS base stations includes residential zones, surrounding streets, and access roads of the seven villages. Local residents can now call emergency services, report incidents, or contact urgent response departments at any time. Additionally, key social infrastructure sites such as local libraries, schools, midwifery stations, and administrative buildings have also gained reliable communication services.

Andrey Belov, Director of MTS in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, stated: "Building the network in the Bogorodsky District opens up new opportunities, spanning both daily life and tourism. For MTS, ensuring digital equality is a priority: high-quality communication should be available not only in large cities but also in small villages. Therefore, launching the network in Arapovo, Vorontsovo, Ushakovo, Chentsovo, Rakshi, Maloye Bedrino, and Bolshoye Bedrino holds special significance. This is not just about expanding the coverage map, but a practical tool for development: residents will be able to work remotely, study online, run businesses, and enjoy all the conveniences of the modern digital environment."

Each of these settlements has its own unique history and characteristics. Vorontsovo is renowned for its scenic spots along the hiking route "Oka Trail," connecting Pavlovo and Nizhny Novgorod, offering beautiful landscapes and cultural attractions; it is favored by outdoor enthusiasts for its tranquility and "postcard-perfect" scenery, with many visiting specifically for day trips or weekend short hikes, or combining hiking with fishing and riverside picnics. Near Ushakovo, scientists are studying the "Ushakovo-1" archaeological site, which is about 4,000 years old. Maloye Bedrino and Bolshoye Bedrino on the left bank of the Kudma River are popular among fishing and stand-up paddleboarding enthusiasts.

The network construction in the Bogorodsky District is a continuation of MTS's plan to eliminate the "digital divide" in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The company regularly upgrades existing facilities and builds new infrastructure based on user needs and regional requirements. For example, last week in the Pavlovsky District, MTS optimized the network in the village of Yasentsy, ensuring stable signals on all streets, and added an additional base station in the village of Bolshoye Davydovo, thereby fully covering the settlement and eliminating "dead zones."
