en.Wedoany.com Reported - Liaoning Port Group's cargo throughput in the first half of 2026 increased by 2.1% year-on-year, while container throughput grew by 5.4% year-on-year.
Facing a severe and complex external environment, Liaoning Port Group has set the goal of becoming a world-class port enterprise in Northeast Asia, striving to enhance the operational quality of its core port business. By leveraging the certainty of its own development to counter external uncertainties, the group aims to lay a solid foundation for the start of the "15th Five-Year Plan."

In the "Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2025" jointly released by the World Bank and S&P Global in June 2026, Dalian Port ranked second globally. As the operator of Dalian's regional container business, Dalian Container Terminal Company has been collaborating with top global shipping companies to continuously expand its global logistics network. In 2025, it launched one new Middle East mainline and four Southeast Asian near-sea routes, driving a year-on-year increase of over 8% in foreign trade container throughput.

The capacity of the domestic trade container hub port has also been enhanced. Yingkou Container Terminal Company, leveraging the "Liao-Hu-Tong Express Line," has integrated route resources and cargo sourcing channels, promoting green transport modes such as bulk-to-container conversion, rail-sea-river intermodal transport, and road-to-water transfer. This has driven stable growth in container throughput in the first half of the year. Yingkou New Century Container Terminal Company has optimized its business structure, fostered innovation momentum, and facilitated the shipment of Audi and Volkswagen brand cars produced by FAW in Changchun, filling a niche gap in the high-end joint venture automotive container loading segment.

The efficiency of integrated operations continues to strengthen. Dandong Port, leveraging the China-South Korea international route and the Dandong-Dalian domestic trade feeder line, has smoothed the two-way flow channels for domestic and foreign trade, achieving a year-on-year increase of over 90% in foreign trade container throughput. Panjin Port has advanced the road-to-water transfer of magnesium products and alumina, restoring the "Panjin-Dalian" foreign trade feeder line. Suizhong Port has stabilized the "Binzhou/Tao'er River-Suizhong" alumina container sea-rail intermodal route, innovatively creating an efficient "round-trip" shipping model, driving both quality and quantity improvements in the laden container business.
