en.Wedoany.com Reported - Moeve recently released data showing strong financial performance for the first quarter of 2026. The company's Clean CCS EBITDA reached €506 million, a 34% increase from €377 million in the first quarter of 2025; Clean CCS net income rose 7% to €147 million.
The company achieved these results amid geopolitical uncertainty, energy market volatility, and global supply chain disruptions. During the quarter, Moeve made progress in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), reinforcing its ambition to become a leading provider of clean energy solutions for transportation.
Moeve supplied over 515 tons of SAF to Condor for flights departing from Tenerife South Airport, supporting routes between the Canary Islands and major German cities such as Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf. The company continues to invest heavily in its energy transition strategy, with 69% of the €272 million in capital expenditure in the first quarter allocated to decarbonization projects in Spain.
Over the past five years, Moeve has invested more than €2 billion to enhance the efficiency and flexibility of its Spanish energy parks, strengthening Europe's energy security and reducing reliance on imported fossil fuels. CEO Maarten Wetselaar stated that these results demonstrate the resilience of the business and underscored the importance of developing low-carbon energy solutions in Europe. He noted: "Green molecules produced in Europe for Europe are becoming increasingly critical for energy security and resilience."
During the quarter, Moeve's energy transition plan also reached a major milestone. The company made a final investment decision on the first phase of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley. This project will become the largest green hydrogen project in Southern Europe, with an initial capacity of 300 MW. The company's operating cash flow reached €283 million, supporting continued investment while maintaining a conservative balance sheet, with net debt stable at 1.6 times EBITDA.
The growth in SAF deployment and progress in hydrogen development highlight Moeve's commitment to sustainable growth while supporting Europe's transition to clean energy.
