en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Generalitat Valenciana has recently approved, under an administrative concession, the construction, operation, maintenance, and management of a parking lot capable of accommodating approximately 400 heavy vehicles on Plot M2 of the Valencia Logistics Park in Ribarroja de Turia.

The transport sector in Valencia has long called for the construction of truck parking lots in the region.

The shortage of truck parking spaces has been a long-standing complaint among transport professionals in Valencia, who have for years demanded new parking areas for vehicles in key regions of Spain's road transport network.

Plot M2, owned by the Entidad Valenciana de Vivienda y Suelo, covers an area of 46,872.59 square meters, with a buildable area of 4,000 square meters. The project plans to build a fully urbanized parking lot equipped with the necessary operational infrastructure, capable of accommodating approximately 400 trucks, along with two buildings for administrative concession services. The administrative concession period is 27 years, with an estimated contract value of 14.9 million euros. User fees are set at 135 euros per month for monthly pass holders and 2 euros per hour for temporary users.

The Valencia Logistics Park covers an area of over 700,000 square meters. In recent years, demand for logistics land has grown significantly, nearly reaching saturation for all available plots. The increase in logistics activity has led to a rise in heavy vehicle traffic and highlighted the need for additional dedicated parking spaces. The Generalitat Valenciana expects that the new parking lot will meet this demand, alleviate congestion caused by trucks parking around the park, and improve traffic flow organization.
