en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FedEx to help Dubai-based businesses enhance their export readiness and accelerate international expansion through world-class logistics, global connectivity, and trade expertise.
Under the MoU, FedEx will leverage its global transportation network and logistics capabilities to offer Dubai Chambers member companies preferential logistics programs, streamlined onboarding processes, and customs advisory support, enabling them to participate more effectively in global trade. The partnership targets both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large corporations, aiming to simplify cross-border trade processes, facilitate entry into new international markets, and enhance global competitiveness.
The agreement also covers trade facilitation services, such as ATA Carnet support, allowing businesses to transport goods more efficiently, further solidifying Dubai's position as a global trade hub. The MoU was signed by Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Business and Enterprise Services at Dubai Chambers, and Nitin Tatiwala, Vice President of Marketing, Customer Experience, and Air Network for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa at FedEx, at the Dubai Chambers headquarters.
Khalid AlJarwan stated that Dubai Chambers is committed to creating a supportive environment for business expansion through effective partnerships and strengthening their regional and international market positions. He believes the collaboration with FedEx is a significant step that will enhance export readiness through advanced logistics solutions and services, accelerate the entry of products and services into global markets, and contribute to the sustainable growth of Dubai's foreign trade.
Nitin Tatiwala noted that this MoU reflects FedEx's long-term commitment to supporting the UAE as a global trade and commerce hub. The company believes that businesses of all sizes should have the opportunity to compete on the global stage. Additionally, Saudi SAL (Saudi SAL) will provide ground handling services for FedEx express shipments.
