en.Wedoany.com Reported - According to the funding sources disclosed by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMV), slightly more than half of the country's investment in transport routes comes from the Special Fund for Infrastructure and Climate Neutrality (SVIK), about one-third from the BMV's regular budget, and approximately 17% from the defense budget, as some transport routes have military significance. A new development is that in the future, around 1.2 billion euros per year for waterway investments will also be allocated from this special fund.
The BMV stated that by 2030, the construction and expansion of the railway network will receive an additional approximately 1.8 billion euros in funding. This amount can support the continuation of a few new projects, such as the Hamburg-Hanover new line, which still requires parliamentary approval.
