en.Wedoany.com Reported - Veolia has launched an operational resilience center at the Cabezo Cortao industrial estate in the Murcia region of Spain.
Covering 4,000 square meters, the center integrates logistics and storage functions to coordinate and deploy strategic equipment, enabling immediate intervention in emergencies across the Murcia region and throughout Spain.
Inside the center, a specialized workshop handles equipment maintenance and refurbishment, ensuring continuous availability while promoting the circular economy. The workshop also maintains a reserve of critical strategic resources that can be dispatched to any location almost in real time as needed.
Additionally, Veolia has developed an internal application inspired by second-hand goods trading platforms. Employees across Spain can use the app to report equipment decommissioning, allowing resources to be reassigned to other company departments or to request supplies needed for emergency response.
The platform is expected to serve as a national reference system for resource coordination in response to climate emergencies and other risk scenarios, thereby enhancing civil protection and government response capabilities.
