DP World launches 11,514 sqm warehouse in Johor, Malaysia
en.Wedoany.com Reported - DP World has launched a dedicated 11,514-square-meter warehouse in Johor, Malaysia, marking the latest expansion of its integrated contract logistics network in Southeast Asia.
The new warehouse is located within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone. The facility is the first of two warehouses planned by DP World in Malaysia, with the second located in Kuala Lumpur and scheduled to open later this year.
The Johor warehouse offers fast, secure, and scalable warehousing and inbound logistics operations, designed to deliver agile, efficient, and reliable contract logistics solutions for customers operating in complex, time-sensitive supply chains, while strengthening connectivity between Malaysia, Singapore, and key regional trade corridors.
The launch of this warehouse is part of DP World's broader Southeast Asian expansion plan, with additional warehouses in the Philippines and Thailand scheduled to open before the end of the year. These investments build on several previous projects in the Asia-Pacific region, including DP World's first Singapore warehouse, which opened in May 2025 and has since achieved TAPA FSR certification, as well as new facilities in Hong Kong, Sydney, and Icheon, South Korea.
Together with DP World's network of 16 ports and terminals across the Asia-Pacific region, the expanding contract logistics platform integrates ports, warehousing, and inland transportation into an interconnected supply chain ecosystem through air freight, sea freight, less-than-container-load (LCL), and multimodal transport services.
Jeanie Tan, Chief Commercial Officer for Logistics at DP World Asia-Pacific, stated that the launch of the Johor warehouse is a significant step in strengthening the company's expanding logistics footprint in Southeast Asia. She described the strategy as connecting strategic logistics assets with the existing port and terminal network to enhance end-to-end supply chain solutions for customers in the region.
