Cainiao and 4PX Open Two New Overseas Warehouses in France and Germany
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 20, Cainiao and 4PX (DLS) overseas supply chain business opened two new overseas warehouses in Paris, France, and Mannheim, Germany. Both warehouses have completed the warehousing of their first container of goods and can provide cross-border merchants with large-item storage and local European delivery services.
The newly added Paris and Mannheim warehouses further expand Cainiao's warehousing node coverage in major European consumer markets. After large items are shipped in bulk to overseas warehouses via sea freight, they can be sorted and delivered locally based on orders, reducing cross-border direct shipping steps and meeting the fulfillment needs of bulky products such as furniture, home appliances, and smart hardware.
Since April 2026, Cainiao has added seven new warehouses in Europe, located in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Germany, with two in France. Previously launched European warehouses include the Daventry warehouse in the UK, the Madrid warehouse in Spain, the Rokitno warehouse in Poland, and the Paris warehouse in France, covering services such as warehousing, order processing, and local fulfillment.
Chen Taotao, Vice President of Cainiao and General Manager of the Overseas Supply Chain Business Unit, stated that demand for warehousing supply chains in Europe is growing. In the short term, this is affected by adjustments to European tax policies, while in the long term, it is linked to the growth of Chinese-made product sales in the European market and the increase in local e-commerce penetration.
In 2025, Cainiao's global overseas warehouse order volume grew 32% year-on-year, and the company launched more than 10 new warehouses worldwide that year. In 2026, the company plans to continue expanding its warehousing network in Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific market, while advancing the application of automated equipment within warehouses.
