Spanning 24,000 square meters on a 50,000-square-meter site, the facility will produce savory, sweet, and snack flavor powders for a variety of food applications. The plant is expected to create approximately 60 jobs initially, with potential for future expansion.
This investment strengthens Givaudan's manufacturing footprint in Indonesia. The company is seeking to increase output, accelerate innovation, and expand its business coverage in high-growth markets.
Christian Stammkoetter, CEO of Givaudan, expressed delight in opening the new facility in Cikarang, calling it the latest example of Givaudan's long-term commitment to Indonesia. This investment aligns with the company's 2030 strategy to increase its presence in strategically high-growth markets, helping to expand customer reach, capture new growth opportunities, while strengthening the company's contribution to the local economy.
The new facility also incorporates sustainability measures, including a solar power system, rainwater harvesting, green electricity partnerships, energy-efficient lighting, and water management technologies, aimed at reducing environmental footprint while enhancing operational resilience.
