en.Wedoany.com Reported - MegaFon (МегаФон) has launched new base stations in the town of AMO State Farm, the villages of Rog-Izmailovsky and Beryozovka in the Novonikolayevsky District of Volgograd Oblast, expanding local mobile network coverage. After engineers installed and activated telecommunications equipment in the area, the stability of smartphone signals for residents of these settlements has improved, with mobile internet speeds reaching 60 Mbit/s.
The new equipment covers residential homes and key social facilities such as kindergartens, schools, and cultural and leisure centers. Approximately 2,000 residents of the AMO State Farm town, Rog-Izmailovsky village, and Beryozovka village can now freely make calls with friends and family from any location within their settlements.
The upgrade of telecommunications infrastructure in the Novonikolayevsky District has expanded the service area of VoLTE (Voice over LTE) technology. This technology allows users to use network services while on a call, with connection setup times of just a few seconds, maintaining high voice quality and low background noise. According to operator statistics, the number of calls using this technology by district residents has increased by 11% since the beginning of the year.
Anton Pavlenko, Director of MegaFon in Volgograd Oblast, stated that residents of the Novonikolayevsky District spend over 2 million minutes on calls per month, and this figure continues to grow. He noted that every call involves important opportunities, including contacting loved ones, reaching institutions, or dialing emergency services; the expert team is committed to improving the user experience for local residents through the construction of new base stations and network modernization.
