en.Wedoany.com Reported - German electric motor manufacturer Menzel Elektromotoren has released a coloring book for preschool and elementary school children, which it claims is the world's first coloring book focused on industrial electric motor manufacturing. The book's illustrations are based on actual workshop photos, showing how large electric motors are manufactured, assembled, tested, and repaired.

The coloring pages do not feature cartoon machinery but are derived from real production activities at the company's manufacturing plant in Hennigsdorf, near Berlin. Children can gain a preliminary understanding of industrial manufacturing processes by coloring scenes depicting rotor machining, coil winding, welding, motor assembly, and final testing.

Menzel stated that the project aims to spark children's curiosity about engineering while highlighting the critical role of electric motors in factories, conveyor systems, robots, building infrastructure, and numerous other industrial applications. The family-owned company also hopes that through the coloring book, professions that receive less public attention will gain greater recognition, particularly motor and drive system technicians responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing industrial electric motors.

Menzel will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027. The company has already partnered with local schools and trains apprentices annually as part of its workforce development program. Anja Leipold, the company's marketing director, said it is never too early to introduce the next generation to the technologies that keep modern industry running—and if it starts with a box of crayons, so much the better.
