UK's 150 MW Dean Moor Solar Farm Granted Development Consent

The project, with a planned installed capacity of 150 MW, was approved by the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.

The Dean Moor Solar Farm is a joint venture between Firma Energy Ltd and ib vogt UK Ltd, forming FVS Dean Moor Ltd. Once operational, the project will generate enough clean electricity to power approximately 50,000 homes annually, contributing to enhanced regional energy security and the achievement of net-zero emissions targets.

The granting of this consent followed a rigorous development consent process, including statutory consultations, extensive community engagement, and review by the Planning Inspectorate. Daniel Kiremidjian, Head of UK and Nordics at ib vogt GmbH, stated that the development consent for the Dean Moor Solar Farm marks a significant milestone for the company in the UK, reflecting the dedication of the team and partners, as well as constructive engagement with local communities and stakeholders throughout the process. Kiremidjian noted that this project is the first in the UK to be granted development consent by the Planning Inspectorate for ib vogt, representing a major achievement for the company's growing project pipeline in the country.
