en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Indian government has officially approved Polymatech Electronics Limited to establish a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for semiconductor and electronic component manufacturing in Mandir Hasod, Nava Raipur (Atal Nagar), Chhattisgarh. The SEZ covers an area of 10.13 hectares, comprising plot numbers 17/A, 17/B, and 16/1A. The Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, issued a notification via S.O. 3675(E) in the Gazette of India in July 2026, designating July 6, 2026, as the start date for the SEZ to be deemed an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962.

The Indian government approved the development, operation, and maintenance of the SEZ on June 9, 2026. The notification also establishes an SEZ Approval Committee to provide a regulatory framework for customs procedures and cargo movement for export-oriented operations. Eswara Rao Nandam, Managing Director and CEO of Polymatech Electronics Limited, stated that Nava Raipur and Atal Nagar feature well-planned infrastructure, reliable power supply, and a supportive industrial ecosystem for advanced manufacturing. This SEZ framework will help the company systematically advance its semiconductor manufacturing project, create skilled employment, and contribute to India's semiconductor and electronics value chain. Polymatech plans to develop the SEZ using its own resources and a capital-constrained approach, continuously focusing on building in-house capabilities in key semiconductor and electronics manufacturing processes.
