en.Wedoany.com Reported - Modena Energy launched solar energy solutions for the residential and commercial sectors on July 10, 2026. The company offers end-to-end services, providing Solar Power Generation Systems (PLTS) to help households and businesses manage energy consumption more efficiently, independently, and sustainably.

The launch of this solution comes amid growing electricity demand across various industries in Indonesia and a rising trend in renewable energy adoption. Modena Energy believes that the current focus of energy management is not only on electricity cost savings but also on building a more reliable energy supply system to support long-term operations. Agiya Fersya, Head of Modena Energy, stated that households and businesses need solutions that can maintain operational cost efficiency and enhance energy independence. The company designs solar systems tailored to each customer's characteristics and needs to support long-term sustainability.

Indonesia has significant potential for solar energy development. According to a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), solar energy is one of the most promising renewable energy sources because Indonesia, located in the equatorial region, enjoys relatively stable sunlight throughout the year. Globally, the installation of solar power systems continues to grow, driven by faster installation processes, flexibility, and suitability for various building types.

Modena Energy's services cover the entire process of solar system implementation, including consultation, energy demand assessment, system design, installation, and operation and maintenance services. This aims to ensure the system maintains optimal performance throughout its operational life and can be adjusted to meet customer needs. One of the core objectives of this solution is to help customers gain greater control over their energy sources. With the increasing use of electronic devices and electrification across industries, electricity demand continues to rise, making energy management a critical factor, especially for businesses looking to maintain operational cost efficiency and reduce reliance on a single power source.

To meet diverse needs, Modena Energy offers three solar system configuration options. The grid-tied system connects directly to the PLN (State Electricity Company) grid without using storage batteries. Solar panels generate energy that is used directly during peak sunlight hours, making it suitable for office buildings, industrial areas, hotels, shops, and commercial buildings with high daytime electricity consumption. The off-grid system operates independently without connecting to the PLN grid. Energy generated by solar panels is stored in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for use at night or during adverse weather conditions, making it suitable for areas not covered by the grid or customers requiring independent energy supply. The hybrid system combines solar panels, storage batteries, and the PLN grid. Electricity from solar panels is first used to meet building demand, with surplus energy stored in batteries. When battery capacity drops, the system automatically switches to the PLN grid for power supply, making it suitable for residences, medical facilities, and businesses requiring uninterrupted power without sacrificing energy efficiency.

In addition to configuration flexibility, Modena Energy emphasized the economic benefits of using solar energy. Electricity cost savings depend on energy consumption patterns, system capacity, installation configuration, and current electricity tariffs. According to Agiya Fersya, commercial and industrial customers with high daytime electricity consumption could potentially reduce their electricity bills by approximately 30% to 70%, while residential customers could achieve energy savings of around 30% to 50%, depending on the electricity usage characteristics of each property.

To support modern energy management, Modena Energy equips its services with a cloud-based and Internet of Things (IoT) digital monitoring platform. Through an application or web-based dashboard, customers can monitor solar panel power generation, electricity consumption, and estimated carbon emission reductions in real time. The platform also provides automatic notifications to alert customers or technical teams to take quick action when potential system faults are detected, thereby maintaining installation performance and reducing the risk of operational disruptions.

Modena Energy introduced this solar solution to visitors at the IndoBuildTech 2026 exhibition, held from July 8 to 12, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD City), and provided consultation on solar system implementation for residential and commercial sectors. Looking ahead, Modena Energy stated that it will continue to develop solar energy solutions integrated with digital technology to help individuals and businesses build more efficient, measurable, and sustainable energy systems, in line with Indonesia's growing electrification demand and the transition to clean energy.
