Targeting the pain points of high peak electricity costs and significant power supply pressure for enterprises, the project adopts a "valley charging, peak discharging" intelligent operation system. With a scale of 375kW/696kWh, the system achieves two charge and two discharge cycles daily, utilizing the nighttime valley and midday shoulder electricity price windows to discharge at full capacity during peak hours. The system saves approximately 150,000 yuan in electricity costs annually, with an investment payback period of less than five years. It is also equipped with demand management functionality, which can reduce basic electricity charges and provide flexible peak shaving and valley filling regulation for the regional grid. An intelligent remote monitoring platform continuously monitors load fluctuations around the clock, automatically optimizing charging and discharging strategies to achieve the dual benefits of cost reduction for enterprises and load relief for the grid.
From the grid connection cabinet to the energy storage cabinet, and from cable trays to road restoration after trenching, the project team completed the entire process from site entry to grid connection in 30 days under complex conditions, tight schedules, and extensive cross-operations. The system passed commissioning in a single attempt on July 9 and was successfully put into operation. The owner, Yitai Electric, stated that all project phases achieved seamless integration and highly commended the professional capabilities and dedication of the Wancheng Electric Power team.
This project provides a replicable energy storage application model for the Feixi Xingang Industrial Park. The system consumes approximately 250,000 kWh of valley electricity annually, reducing carbon emissions by over 200 tons while generating additional revenue from carbon trading. The project manager of Wancheng Electric Power stated that the company will continue to deepen its efforts in the user-side energy storage sector, offering more industrial enterprises solutions for electricity cost optimization and green transformation.
