The facility is designed with a capacity of 5GW for cells and 5GW for modules, all utilizing TOPCon technology.

The plant covers an area of 200 acres (approximately 1,214.06 mu), with a total investment of 82 billion Indian rupees (approximately $867 million). The project is located within the jurisdiction of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). According to SAEL, the module production line is expected to commence operations in the first half of 2027, while the cell production line is planned to be completed by the end of 2027. Once operational, the project is expected to directly create approximately 5,000 jobs and indirectly support 15,000 ancillary positions.

SAEL stated that the photovoltaic products manufactured at this facility will primarily target the Indian domestic market. After the project becomes operational, SAEL's total photovoltaic manufacturing capacity will increase from the previous 3.5GW to 8.5GW. As one of India's independent power producers in the domestic solar photovoltaic sector, SAEL currently holds a solar asset portfolio of over 6.7GW in India, including both operational and under-construction projects, and plans to expand its generation portfolio to between 18GW and 20GW by 2030.
