In the coming years, the plant will produce PHA-rich biomass, supplying feedstock for the Caleyda® extraction pilot plant in Emmen. This initiative aims to generate sufficient material for large-scale application development, product validation, and quality testing.

This pilot plant is considered a key step in the scale-up roadmap. By integrating production and extraction at pilot scale, the project will accelerate the development of new applications for Caleyda® in collaboration with partners.
