en.Wedoany.com Reported - CoreWeave has reached an agreement with Conapto to jointly build and operate two new data center campuses in Stockholm, providing AI cloud capacity powered by renewable energy for European customers. Currently, the Stockholm South 4 facility is operational, offering computing, networking, storage, and software orchestration services specifically designed for AI workloads.

CoreWeave has deployed NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture and NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platforms hardware at its Swedish site, with these systems connected via NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand to meet enterprise processing demands. The heat generated by high-density server infrastructure requires cooling protocols and power supply, for which Conapto provides physical environments and redundant systems to maintain cluster uptime. This collaboration aims to meet the infrastructure needs of European tech companies for compute-intensive workloads, particularly the continuous processing capabilities required by AI models entering commercial production. Sachin Jain, Chief Operating Officer of CoreWeave, stated that Sweden has been at the core of CoreWeave's European strategy since its first investment in the region.

The Stockholm campus operates entirely on renewable energy, and Conapto redirects heat from the computing clusters to municipal infrastructure rather than releasing it as waste heat—a model that reduces the carbon footprint of training and running foundation models. Håkan Björklund, CEO of Conapto, expressed pride in providing the resilient, high-density infrastructure needed to support CoreWeave's next phase of growth, noting that this partnership demonstrates how AI infrastructure and sustainability can work together, with the heat recovery system directly connected to Stockholm's district heating network.

The agreement with Conapto brings CoreWeave's operational sites in Europe to eight. According to CoreWeave, as of March 31, 2026, it manages 49 data centers globally, with a real estate portfolio including over 1 gigawatt of active power and over 3.5 gigawatts of contracted power. This infrastructure supports service delivery to nine of the top ten leading foundation model providers. CoreWeave has validated facility performance through independent testing, achieving record-breaking MLPerf benchmark results and maintaining a Platinum ranking in SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX 1.0 and 2.0. Independent inference benchmarks from Artificial Analysis ranked CoreWeave first in both inference speed and cost-effectiveness on Moonshot AI's Kimi K2.6. The Stockholm deployment provides immediate capacity for developers building AI applications at scale.
