Wedoany.com Report-May 13, As of May 12, Ukraine exported 36.396 million tons of grain and leguminous crops in the 2024/25 marketing year, a decrease of 6.81 million tons, or 18.7%, compared to the previous year, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Wheat exports reached 14.282 million tons, down by 2.13 million tons, or 14.9%, from the prior year. This reduction reflects challenges faced by Ukrainian farmers in maintaining export volumes. The ministry’s data highlights the significant role wheat plays in the country’s agricultural exports, despite the year-on-year decline.

Barley exports totaled 2.283 million tons, while rye exports were recorded at 10,800 tons. These figures indicate steady but smaller contributions to the overall export portfolio, with barley maintaining a notable presence in Ukraine’s agricultural trade.

Corn exports amounted to 19.308 million tons, a decrease of 4.761 million tons, or 24.6%, compared to the previous year. As one of Ukraine’s key export crops, the drop in corn shipments underscores the broader challenges impacting the agricultural sector, including logistical and market factors.

Additionally, Ukraine exported 60,300 tons of flour, equivalent to 80,400 tons in grain terms, marking a significant decline of 28,900 tons, or 47.9%, from the previous year. This reduction in flour exports further reflects the broader trend of decreased agricultural shipments.

The ministry’s report, published on its website, provides a comprehensive overview of Ukraine’s agricultural export performance for the season.
