en.Wedoany.com Reported - CB&I's Asset Solutions business (formerly part of Petrofac) has signed a further contract with EnQuest to continue as Duty Holder managing the Kittiwake asset in the UK North Sea through to Cessation of Production (COP) and decommissioning.

The contract extension confirms CB&I's team's critical role in the Kittiwake project, with the new scope of work expanding from late-life asset management to cessation of production and assisting in platform decommissioning.
CB&I's Asset Solutions team pioneered the outsourced Duty Holder model in 1997 and has served as Duty Holder for the Kittiwake platform since 2003, supporting EnQuest since 2014, and previously Centrica and Venture. The platform serves as a production hub for multiple tie-back subsea wells, forming the Greater Kittiwake Area.
The team has improved operational performance and extended asset life on the platform, with a safety record of over 20 years without a Lost Time Incident (LTI), reflecting a safety culture and the value of a stable team, supported by an onshore team in Aberdeen.
This contract solidifies the Asset Solutions business's position as the preferred partner for outsourced asset operations, unlocking economic value by optimizing late-life asset management and extending safe operating life until cost-effective decommissioning is achieved.
John Pearson, Chief Operating Officer of CB&I Asset Solutions, commented: "The Asset Solutions team has been closely linked with Kittiwake for a long time, and it is very fitting that EnQuest has chosen our team to complete its journey. Extending our services as asset Duty Holder through to cessation of production and into decommissioning is a testament to our productive and long-standing relationship with EnQuest, as well as our unparalleled experience as the outsourced Duty Holder for this asset for nearly 23 years. Kittiwake is synonymous with strong team spirit and safety practices, demonstrating the value our team brings as a trusted, preferred partner. While it is bittersweet to see the end of the asset's life cycle, we are honored to support EnQuest in this final phase."
John Telford, Kittiwake Asset Manager at EnQuest, commented: "For over 20 years, CB&I's Asset Solutions team has been an integral part of the Kittiwake story, consistently demonstrating exceptional operational performance, an unwavering commitment to safety, and a deep understanding of the asset. As Kittiwake enters the next phase of its lifecycle, we are pleased to extend this long-standing partnership and leverage our 'one team' approach to support safe, efficient, and responsible operations."
