en.Wedoany.com Reported - German HARTING Technology Group has launched the Han® 4B series industrial connectors. The Han size 4 series currently includes three products: Han® 4B, Han® HPR 4, and Han-Eco® Modular 4, providing solutions for industries such as mechanical engineering, robotics, energy, and rail transit that balance compact dimensions with high current-carrying capacity.

This series aims to address long-standing selection challenges in the industry. The existing larger Han-Eco® 6B cannot meet all energy application requirements, while the smaller Han® 3A cannot carry the required 70A current. The Han® 4B series retains the same two-module capacity as the 6B while reducing the panel cutout size by 20%, and the Han® HPR 4 can achieve a reduction of up to 40%, with a target pricing lower than the 6B series. Technical highlights include: compatibility with over 100 modular combination units; an innovative snap-in frame concept allowing the Han® HPR 4 and Han® 4B to share a unified frame, paired with Push-In connection technology (PE grounding supports up to 6mm² wire gauge), enhancing on-site installation efficiency; integrated coding function effectively prevents misinsertion. The lightweight design is suitable for rail transit and motion-based applications.
In terms of technical parameters, cable entry methods include straight entry M20, M25, M32; the Han-Modular® frame accommodates 2 modules or 4 combination units; protection rating is IP65, compliant with IEC 60529; locking type is single locking lever or Han-Easy Lock®; type certification meets UL 50/UL 50E, types 4, 4X, 12; installation method is top entry; housing material is aluminum alloy; sealing material is NBR nitrile rubber; color is RAL 7037 gray; material flammability rating is V-0, compliant with UL 94; operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C (when used as a connector, compliant with IEC 61984).
Engineers can customize dedicated connection solutions based on actual working conditions using the HARTING online CONFIGURATOR.
