This acquisition aims to expand ABB's direct current (DC) product portfolio to meet the accelerating demand for efficient solutions in data centers, industrial microgrids, power generation, and electric vehicle infrastructure. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The acquisition of Advantics adds silicon carbide-based high-efficiency energy conversion technology to ABB's DC portfolio, strengthening the key modules required to design, protect, convert, distribute, and manage energy in new electrical architectures with higher power density, resilience, and efficiency.
